Information for Both Book Clubs

Wow, I can't believe it's May 1st already. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you make your summer plans.

Both Book Clubs are invited to:

Gee Gee's Book Club on June 2nd, at 6:30, at the

Boys and Girls Club in Carlsbad

We have invited Fran Valera to be our special guest. She will be providing a workshop on Resin Art. Your kit will have what you need to make something awesome. You won't want to miss this opportunity to learn a new media directly from the expert.

Cool Scrapbook Stuff Book Club is also invited to this special event. Your cost is $20.

This is Gee Gee's Book Club's regular meeting night. Your cost is as usual.

IMPORTANT: Send me one or two images you want to use for your project and Fran will size them for us.

Note: Some of you may not be aware that we have two Book Clubs. Sometimes you might read information that is based on the Book Club that you may not be attending. If anyone ever gets unsure of what's going on, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kat...sorry if this ends up repeating...not sure if the first try went through because it's not showing. Thanks for the list of dates and for doing this blog for us all. Do you know what the project is that Fran is going to do so that we have a better idea of what photos we might want to use for it(i.e. family,funky, or ventage photos). I didn't know if she might have a picture of the project on a blog or something like that. Thanks again sweetie!!! You ROCK!!!!!!

This is really fun looking at the other group as well as our own! Your photos are fab, Kat! I love the piece you made with your mother's picture - so beautiful. My birthday party was sooooo fun. I like being a princess!

This is a club that's social, fun, and inspiring! Meet other crafters that love crafting as much as you. Learn what happening in the crafting world.

Here's how it works:

* It's based on a 3 month series: Club is $13 per mo for the series of 3 months.

* Club meets once a month, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 6:30-8:30.

* There is an optional book that you can purchase that will be our inspiration for crafting for that cycle.

* We will also do a fun make-and-take.

* Special guest speaker from the crafting industry each cycle.

* One free crop per cycle for Book Club members and 1 guest.

This social Book Club is geared towards the mixed media enthusiast, however, any crafting is appreciated. We love to create art and share it. The inspiration and support is amazing.
Here is how it works:

Book Club is based on a 4 month cycle: Book Club is $80 for the series of 4 months, or $20 per month with the commitment of 4 months.

Book Club meets at Gee Gee's in Carlsbad on the first Thursday of every month, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

There is an optional book that you can purchase that will be our inspiration for crafting for that cycle.

Each meeting you will receive a kit based on something from the book and you can take it home and create your art. The following month you can bring your project for everyone to ooh and ahh over!

Each meeting we will do a make-and-take.

Each cycle we will have an industry guest speaker.

Each cycle we will have a free crop.

The fee is $80 for a 4-month cycle. If you can't make it to a meeting, you will receive your kit the following month, unless other arrangements can be made. You can pay monthly, however, you are obligated to purchase all four classes in a cycle.
